A little bit about me...
Arlette studied Landscape Architecture at Leeds Beckett University, graduating with a first class honours degree. She has 25 years’ experience as a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and went on to further study Horticulture at Capel Manor College and with The Plant School.
Arlette has worked in large multi-disciplinary Architecture practices, as well as small boutique garden design companies, and on International projects for companies such as Telefonica and the Natural History Museum. She is now a freelance designer.
Arlette believes in creating a collaborative, deep working relationship with clients. Developing a landscape from scratch can be a daunting task for them. Arlette assures clients of what she is doing at every stage of the process, so that they are clear about what the process involves.
Arlette has been a trustee on a charity to develop the local park where she lives, gardening alongside a dozen volunteers every week. She has designed, fundraised for, and overseen the build for a school playground raising £100,000 for this project. Arlette believes in access to gardens and landscapes for all. She is passionate about design, sustainability, and horticulture, ensuring that nothing is wasted in any of the projects that she designs.
In her spare time, Arlette is a mum, a keen walker, and a netball player.
