Finchley urban garden redesign

This terraced house garden was redesigned after being totally dug out to make two new levels in the garden. The feeling of the garden being encased by planting and wildlife was important to gain privacy for the clients. All the spoil from the garden was reused to make the terracing, whilst a new bespoke garden office designed by Arlette, was made to accommodate a roof garden to allow for as much wildlife in the garden as possible. The planting scheme was deliberately green and the eating area is intended to be intimate with steel sheeting as the backdrop, yet edged with tiny planting to soften the look. The concrete steps are suspended to allow planting to come through the gaps.
